Action by CWC in case of a licensed home rejected to admit a child in need of care and protection services

Question: In case if the licensed homes reject the child referred by CWC for placement in the institutions, what action can CWC take? Please let me know?

The CWCs are expected to monitor the standards of care and protection in institutions within their jurisdiction. If the CWC find malpractices in relation to the care of children in institutions, such matters should be reported to the Commissioner/Director, Juvenile Welfare, Correctional Services and Welfare of Street Children to take immediate action.

4. Ensure confidentiality of children by avoiding the name and address of the children and her/his family. If at all necessary unreal name and address could be mentioned with a statement on changing the identity.

Don’ts

The user should not:

1. Use abusive or inappropriate or provocative language in the narration which humiliate/degrade children.

2. Be judgmental on the topic/case while seeking information related to any child

3. Use image (photo/video) of children while sharing/seeking information through the blog

4. Use of the blog for commercial purpose

5. Make disrespectful comments about Government or any other agency on child protection issues

The user shall adhere to this code of conduct while using the blog. HELP and Terre des hommes Foundation have all rights to delete/change any statement given in the blog in line with their respective Child Protection / Safeguarding Policy.
