RC No CWC/RRD/0806/2015 Dated 08th Jun 2015

The Chief Secretary,
Govt. of Telangana,

As you know very well that the Child Welfare Committee is also a court for the disposal of the cases of children below 18 years which is established by the Govt. of India under Sec 29(5) of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act 2000, amend 2006. And this is to inform you that all the members in this committee are said to be a bench of magistrates with the powers of First Class Judicial Magistrates. Further, you know very well that, the committee has been empowered with the powers to facilitate the children in need of Care and Protection in terms of their development, care, treatment and rehabilitation under Sec 31 (2) of JJ Act 2000 r/w 2006.

This is in reference with the request submitted by Mr. Raja Sekhar with regard to his daughter Hepsiba’s severe health problem who is aged about 5 years belongs to Boduppal of Hyderabad. It is revealed that the girl has fall down and got an injury to her head led to communicable hydrocephalus (Traumatic) and hence underwent a surgery in KIMS hospital at Minister’s road in the year 2013. Unfortunately, now the girl again got infection in the place where she got surgery and again needed to get VP Shunt replacement which require at least 2 Lakhs for the surgery or otherwise she would be in a dangerous condition and leads to fatal to any further extent without surgery.

In this context, the Child Welfare Committee of Rangareddy District is hereby request your extreme support under humanitarian grounds to please look in to the issue of the above said child who is in need of essential and emergency health care support service either referring to a Govt. Hospital which is equipped with appropriate medical facilities and treatment by deserved doctors.

Cc: To Hon’ble Minister for Medical and Public Health, Govt. of Telangana
To the Principal Secretary, Medical and Health Department, Govt. of Telangana.
To The Dist Collector, Ranga Reddy Dist.
